Vivo Launches the Y15A Phone with Android OS 11

Rancakmedia.com – Following the debut of the Y15S last week, Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo Y15A with the Android 11 OS in the Philippines. This entry-level smartphone may be a twin of the Y15S due to its comparable looks and specifications.

Both of them have a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with HD Plus quality and a notch that contains an 8 MP selfie camera. They also include a MediaTek Helio P35 processor and a 5,000 mAh battery with 10 watts of charging.

Vivo Y15A and Y15S both have two rear cameras, consisting of a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor camera.

Vivo Y15A specifications

The difference between these two phones lies in the memory. The Vivo Y15A comes with 4GB RAM (with 1GB Extended RAM) and 64GB internal storage, which is more than the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage on the Y15S.

In addition, the operating systems are different. As summarized by Rancakmedia from Gadgets 360 on Tuesday (11/16/2021), Vivo Y15A runs the standard Android 11.1 OS with Fountouch OS 11.1 UI, not the "light" version of Android 11 Go seen on the Y15S.

Vivo Y15A also has a 4G connection, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, a micro USB port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.

Currently, the Y15A is available in the Philippines for 7,000 pesos or around Rp. 1,980,000. Meanwhile, Rancakmedia noticed that the Vivo Y15S is now available at the official Vivo store in one of the Indonesian marketplaces. The asking price is IDR 1,899,000.
