rancakmedia.com – Moto G100 could be launched globally on March 25. A new leak seems to suggest that Motorola is preparing to host a launch event on March 25, and the Moto G100 is widely expected to launch on that occasion.

The phone was seen in renderings a day ago. Motorola previously teased the arrival of a new phone with a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The Moto G100 is said to be largely a revised version of the Motorola Edge S, which debuted in China in January this year.

Nils Ahrensmeier from Technology News tweeted a “Save the Date” poster from Motorola's upcoming event on March 25. He seems to suggest that the Moto G100 will be featured at this upcoming event, which is likely due to past leaks. There has been no official announcement from Motorola. If there is indeed an event planned for next week, the company is expected to officially announce it soon.

Motorola has released a teaser giving us an insight into the new phone. The teaser confirms that the upcoming phone may be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC and have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The phone also has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a speaker grille on the bottom edge. The cellphone in the teaser looks very similar to the Motorola Edge S which was launched in China in January, and the cellphone is rumored to be launched in world markets under the name Motorola G100.

Even yesterday's leak adds weight to the claim that the Motorola G100 is a rebranding of the Edge S. The phone has a dual selfie camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and four rear cameras on the back. This is very similar to the appearance of the Motorola Edge S in China. With so many leaks happening in succession, it should Motorola officially announce it soon.
