“This is the third time we have had to move since the ceasefire began,” said 61-year-old Naji Musulmani. He was seen driving a pickup truck piled high with mattresses, navigating through gridlocked Beirut streets as he fled the southern suburbs.
After having already escaped from the south in recent days, Musulmani noted that he was now heading toward the northern city of Tripoli in search of safety.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Katz issued the order to strike “terrorist targets” in the southern suburbs following what they described as “repeated violations” of the ceasefire by Hezbollah and ongoing “attacks on our cities and citizens.”
