Rancak Media – JAKARTA — The Bisnis-27 Index successfully finished in positive territory on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, climbing 0.60% to reach the 469.20 level. This upward momentum was largely driven by the strong performance of key constituents such as MBMA, AMRT, and BRMS.
According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the index—which is a collaborative benchmark developed with the Bisnis Indonesia daily—fluctuated within a range of 467.09 to 471.29 throughout the trading session. Out of its 27 constituents, a significant majority of 20 stocks closed in the green, while two remained stagnant and five ended the day in the red.
Leading the rally was PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk. (MBMA), which emerged as a top performer with a 6.50% surge, closing at Rp655 per share. It was joined by PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk. (AMRT), the retail giant owned by tycoon Djoko Susanto, which appreciated by 5.56% to reach Rp1,520 per share.
Similarly, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk. (BRMS) showed strong growth, gaining 4.46% to end the afternoon at Rp820 per share. Other notable gainers included TAPG, which rose 3.88% to Rp2,140; ANTM, which climbed 2.98% to Rp3,800; and AKRA, which increased by 2.63% to close at Rp1,560 per share.
On the other hand, several stocks faced downward pressure. BBNI weakened by 2.30% to Rp3,830, while ASII dropped 2.13% to Rp5,750. CPIN also saw a decline, falling 1.22% to finish the session at Rp4,040 per share.
In line with the Bisnis-27’s positive trajectory, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) also closed higher this Wednesday, gaining 0.50% to reach 7,092.46. Trading activity was robust, with 37.07 billion shares exchanged for a total transaction value of Rp17.71 trillion. Overall market breadth showed 341 stocks advancing, 290 declining, and 186 remaining unchanged. Consequently, the IHSG’s total market capitalization reached Rp12,728 trillion by the end of the day.
