Boxer Machine

Flat or boxer type car engines are one of the most unusual car engine layouts. Unlike other types of engines, the cylinder position of a flat/boxer car engine is horizontal, sometimes also called horizontal.

Although flat car engines and boxer engines appear to be the same, there are slight variations in the configurations in which they are put together. On the Boxer engine, each cylinder has its own crankpin, but on the Flat engine, one crankpin is used for the pair of cylinders facing each other.

As a result, in a boxer car engine, the opposing pistons approach each other before moving apart. Gloves of two fighters clap each other. In a flat engine, the opposing pistons will move side by side. However, in public life, the meaning of boxer and flat car engine design is usually equated.
