BI DKI Jakarta dukung UMKM naik kelas dan siap jadi eksportir

Rancak Media JAKARTA – The Bank Indonesia (BI) Provincial Office for DKI Jakarta has officially launched its comprehensive JAWARA Assistance Program and the Export Coaching Program (ECP) for 2026. This strategic initiative aims to significantly bolster the capacity of Jakarta’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), equipping them to be more competitive, adaptive, and capable of expanding their market reach through international exports.

This impactful program is a testament to strong collaboration among various key stakeholders, including the Export Product Development and Expansion Center (PPEJP) under the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office for Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM), OJK Jabodebek, and the Indonesia Export Financing Institution (LPEI).

Lily Mochamad Sadeli, Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia Provincial Office for DKI Jakarta, emphasized that fostering MSME development is a crucial strategic step. It aligns perfectly with the government’s broader agenda to strengthen the real sector and drive inclusive, sustainable economic growth across the nation.

“In the face of dynamic global trade landscapes and evolving market preferences, MSMEs are increasingly challenged to elevate their human resource quality, enhance product standards, fortify their brand presence, leverage digitalization, and adhere to international market requirements,” Sadeli stated in an official release on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The JAWARA Program is designed as an end-to-end MSME development framework, encompassing digital onboarding, fostering sustainable business practices, cultivating the creative economy and tourism sectors, and ultimately expanding access to export markets. The overwhelming enthusiasm from businesses is evident, with 879 MSMEs registering for the program.

Out of these registrants, 352 MSMEs were deemed eligible to proceed with JAWARA Go-Onboard. Furthermore, 40 MSMEs each were meticulously selected for intensive mentorship within the JAWARA Go-Sustain, Go-Tourism, and Go-Export tracks.

Concurrently, the 2026 ECP garnered 122 applications, with 30 MSMEs ultimately chosen to participate in intensive export assistance, which will continue through September 2026.

“Beyond the JAWARA and ECP initiatives, we are continuously strengthening the broader MSME development ecosystem through various other strategic programs,” Sadeli explained. “These include Citra Nusa, dedicated to advancing traditional textile (wastra) and craft MSMEs, and Cangkir Barista, aimed at transforming skilled baristas into thriving ‘coffee-preneurs’.”

To further facilitate growth, numerous financing and export business matching events are slated to be held. These events will serve as vital platforms, connecting MSMEs directly with both domestic and international buyers. The culmination of these programs will be the Jakarta Kreatif Festival (JKF) 2026, scheduled for July 4–5, 2026, at Istora Senayan Jakarta.

“Through sustained collaboration and continuous guidance, Bank Indonesia Provinsi DKI Jakarta expresses its strong hope that Jakarta’s MSMEs will become even more prepared to compete robustly in both the domestic and global marketplaces,” Sadeli affirmed.

This comprehensive program is anticipated not only to elevate the business capacity and product quality of MSMEs but also to unlock new market opportunities and significantly enhance the contribution of MSMEs to both regional and national economic growth.
