PIS Siapkan 332 Kapal Tanker untuk Amankan Pasokan Energi Nataru 2026

PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) is taking proactive measures to guarantee a seamless national energy supply as Indonesia approaches the crucial Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 period. The company is deploying an extensive sea logistics fleet, forming a pivotal part of the Nataru 2025/2026 Task Force, executed in close collaboration with the broader Pertamina Group.

To fulfill this critical mandate, PIS is activating a formidable fleet of 332 tanker vessels dedicated to transporting vital commodities such as crude oil, fuel (BBM), LPG, and petrochemicals across the vast Indonesian archipelago. Furthermore, an additional 12 reserve tankers have been strategically prepared to anticipate any potential surge in national consumption during the festive season.

Alih Istik Wahyuni, the acting Corporate Secretary for PIS, underscored the company’s robust readiness on Friday (28/11). “To proactively address the expected rise in consumption, we have mobilized 332 operational tankers and prepared an additional 12 reserve tankers. These vessels are essential for distributing fuel, crude oil, LPG, and petrochemicals to various regions, including critical regional distribution channels,” Alih elaborated.

Beyond its impressive tanker operations, PIS, through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), is also bolstering its port services. A substantial fleet of 338 tugboats stands ready to ensure the smooth docking and efficient loading and unloading activities of vessels, thereby maintaining the swift flow of energy resources.

Every movement of this expansive fleet is meticulously monitored through a sophisticated operational control center, equipped with a state-of-the-art digital monitoring system. This advanced approach ensures that energy distribution remains consistently safe, precisely measurable, and highly responsive to evolving demands across the nation.

Alih emphasized that this comprehensive operational readiness is integral to PIS’s unwavering commitment to upholding national energy resilience. “As the year draws to a close, public energy demand typically experiences a significant increase. Consequently, we are maximizing the readiness of our entire fleet, infrastructure, and monitoring systems to guarantee a secure and uninterrupted supply of fuel and LPG,” she affirmed.

In anticipation of potential extreme weather conditions, the company has also rigorously implemented proactive mitigation procedures. These measures include strategic re-arrangements of vessel movements and the optimized deployment of the reserve fleet to minimize disruptions and ensure continuous service.

According to Alih, the ongoing digitalization of the sea logistics chain significantly fortifies operational resilience. This comprehensive digital transformation encompasses real-time fleet tracking, robust floating storage capabilities, and enhanced port agency services, streamlining the entire supply process.
