
Riot Games Again Sues Moonton About Copyright
Rancakmedia.com – As we know Riot Games is suing Moonton again, as the owner of the League of Legends game franchise which includes a mobile version, suing Shanghai Moonton to court alleging copyright and theft of some of the elements it made.
Reporting from Polygon, Riot again accused Moonton and its flagship game, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, of "copying" Wild Rift. RIot Games have reported their accusations to the district court in California which reads
“want to stop Moonton from knowingly and continuously freeloading Riot Games' valuable [intellectual] ownership rights in the mobile video game League of Legends: Wild Rift and related content.”
Riot Games' demands include details of Moonton's "copying" or plagiarism, starting from in-game assets, promotional materials, to eSports.
One of the striking details is the background music used in the “All Star 2022 Myanmar Call Out Video” from Mobile Legends which sounds very similar to “Welcome to Planet Url“, the official soundtrack of League of Legends in Ultra Rapid Fire mode.
