As many as 245,440 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived on Friday (8/10). This is the second handover, so that in total Indonesia has received 865,440 doses of vaccine support from the British Government as a form of world solidarity and cooperation in handling the epidemic.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi in her statement stated that this vaccine was the second shipment of aid from the British Government, after Indonesia received 620,000 doses of vaccine on August 2, 2021.

"I would like to thank the British Government for the support of the dose-sharing vaccine for handling COVID-19 in Indonesia," said Retno.

With the delivery of the vaccine on Friday (8/10), a total of 278,527,220 doses of vaccines that have arrived, both in bulk and finished form. The arrival of vaccines indicates a safe supply of vaccines.

The government is pursuing the target that by the end of 2021, 70 percent of Indonesian people have been vaccinated. As of October 8, 2021, 46.52 percent of the target population had received the first dose of vaccine and 26.49 percent had been fully immunized.
