Prospective Sriwijaya Air Passengers SJ-182 whose flight was canceled tell the following story

Prospective Sriwijaya Air Passengers SJ-182 whose flight was canceled tell the following story – Starting from disappointment and now turning to gratitude. This is also felt by Osneti, a resident of Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, who is a candidate for a Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 passenger that has now crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands, Jakarta.

Osneti was a candidate for a Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 passenger. Initially, the airport said that Osneti did not meet the requirements to use an airplane, because he only had a negative COVID-19 letter that had expired.

"I was unable to fly with Sriwijaya SJ 182, because I did not have the latest negative COVID-19 letter. At that time I was really disappointed and sad, but witnessing the events that took place, I also really thanked him for surviving the incident. If not, maybe I'm not here right now," he said, Sunday 10 January 2021.

Without Osneti, the number of passengers on Sriwijaya Air SJ 182, which was supposed to be 51 people, has shrunk to 50 passengers.

“My goal was to go to Pontianak the other day, to meet my family there. But it didn't work," he said.

According to him, before he was declared unable to use the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182, Osneti had also thought about doing another swab test, as a substitute for his expired letter, so he could fly to Pontianak.

"I thought about taking another swab test. Because the airport official said that, you can board the plane if you take another swab test. The value is IDR 800,000, but the results can only come back 2 days,” he explained.

Osneti said that he is still in Jakarta and living in his family's house. So far, he has no idea of returning to Padang Pariaman.

"Because I'm still worried, even though I didn't get on the plane from Jakarta-Pontianak. But I have to take the plane back to return to Padang. Maybe I'll just go home by bus," he explained.
