Christmas Eve Large Scale Patrol, TNI POLRI SATPOL-PP Deployed - The police together with the TNI, Satpol PP, DKI Transportation Agency, and the DKI Provincial Government conducted a large number of patrols to secure Christmas Mass activities in Jakarta. Regarding the release of the Christmas Mass patrols, the Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General M Fadil Imran and the Regional Military Commander Maj. Gen. TNI Dudung Abdurachman did this at Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday (24/12/2020) afternoon. Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General M Fadil Imran explained, the patrol release was carried out to monitor and save Christmas Mass activities in several churches.
"There are two lines of large number of patrols, the first is at the Regional Police Headquarters level and the second is a large number patrol at the Polres level. So, each Head of Police, Dandim, and elements of the municipality conduct the same patrols," he told reporters, Thursday (24/12/2020).
According to him, the combined personnel are carrying out a humanitarian operation in the form of spraying disinfectants at all churches in Jakarta where Christmas Mass activities will be carried out. It is hoped that the patrol activity will give residents a feeling of security when they celebrate Christmas Mass on Thursday (24/12/2020) night.
At that time, the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus explained, there were around 8,000 combined personnel deployed for the Christmas rescue. Several thousand personnel were then deployed to several position points that had been mapped initially during the 2020 Lilin Jaya Operation rescue.
"There are around 1,635 churches that we have secured and there are many churches that are the focus ratio, around 136 focus ratio churches," he said.
Regarding the church that is the main focus, he said, it is a large church, but it is still working on limiting the number of congregations according to government regulations. Congregations who enter the church also on average have registered first through the online mechanism, while other congregations are carried out virtually.
"Being carried out according to health procedures, 3 M. And with regard to community organizations, it is true that there are community organizations that have volunteered to help save (Christmas) that is not a problem and we appreciate it," he said.
