The President Gives Sandiaga Uno 1 Year to Improve the Tourism and Creative Economy Sector - The Minister of Tourism and the Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Uno, admitted that he was given a year by President Joko Widodo to increase tourism in Indonesia.
This was stated by Sandiaga Uno in his first speech as Minister of Tourism and the Creative Economy Agency at the handover ceremony from Wishnutama, at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 23 2020.
"First we have to move quickly. I was given a year for him (President Jokowi) to witness the preparations for superpower recreation destinations, starting from not only the infrastructure, costumes, cultural arts, and food," said Sandiaga Uno.
Sandiaga Uno admits that he often meets creative economy actors. In this period of the Covid-19 outbreak, he said.
According to him, there is no need to analyze if they are currently experiencing amazing problems during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Because of that, in his speech he made it clear that all of his corps in the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy could work together. "Let's get to work (please let us work)," he said.
Furthermore, in boosting tourism and the creative economy, Sandiaga Uno emphasized that currently what is important for all stakeholders is to continue developing and be able to adapt quickly. "We need development adjustments. We do our best," he said.
Concluding his first remarks at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, to Wishnutama, Sandiaga Uno expressed his appreciation, saying that the Minister of Tourism and the Creative Economy Agency for the 2019-2020 period was an amazing figure.
Sandiaga Uno said that Wishnutama is the greatest talent of the Indonesian nation. Plus it has been shown by Wishnutama in how to pack the most quality Asian Games.
"Pak Wishnu is the best of the best talent on how to pack the Asian Games and some of his works are really high quality," he said.
