What is the Aragon ANT network?
The Aragon Network is software used to create and run a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) on the Ethereum blockchain.
DAO is a program with built-in features to help individuals manage their code. The first DAO was essentially shut down in 2016 when hackers managed to exploit a security flaw.
This, in turn, led to the hard fork of Ethereum which made Ethereum a traditional cryptocurrency.
However, the ideals that underpinned the original DAO (though perhaps not its flaws) live on and organizations like Aragon, MakerDAO, MolochDAO and MetaCartel are working to establish DAO as a valid concept once again.
What makes the Aragon network special? The network whitepaper says: “Aragon's current infrastructure allows users to create and manage organizations.
Each Aragon organization exists as a set of smart contracts that define the organization's stakeholders and their rights and privileges.
It is impossible to precisely encode in a smart contract the subjective limitations certain rights and privileges require to function.
