PT Jasa Marga Tbk is targeting the reopening of the crucial Medan-Tebing Tinggi toll road this Thursday, December 4th. However, initial operations will be limited to a single lane, exclusively catering to traffic heading towards Medan.
Currently, the Medan-Tebing Tinggi toll road at KM 41+600 remains closed following a significant landslide, a direct consequence of recent floods in Medan. Jasa Marga CEO Rivan Achmad Purwantono stated that repairs on the Medan-bound lane are progressing swiftly due to its relatively minor damage. Speaking at the DPR Building on Tuesday, December 2nd, Purwantono elaborated, “The damage to the Kualanamu-bound lane on the Medan-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road is quite severe. Nevertheless, the toll road is anticipated to be operational on December 4, 2025, utilizing a contra-flow scheme on the Medan-bound lane to facilitate traffic.”
There’s a 20% Discount!
In addition to the reopening efforts, Rivan highlighted that the Medan-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road is among eight key routes eligible for a substantial 20% toll tariff discount during the upcoming Nataru (Christmas and New Year) period of 2025/2026. This special reduction will be available on three specific days: December 22nd, 23rd, and 31st, 2025.
