SiCepat Launches New Logistics Service, Targets 10% Revenue Share

SiCepat, a prominent logistics and courier services provider, has officially unveiled its latest strategic offering: SiCepat Logistik. This new venture marks a significant expansion, specifically targeting the crucial first-mile and middle-mile segments of the supply chain. The launch of SiCepat Logistik is poised to redefine the company’s market presence, aiming to capture a substantial share of Indonesia’s rapidly growing logistics sector. This move underscores SiCepat’s commitment to evolving beyond its traditional courier, express, and parcel (CEP) services.

The company has set an ambitious yet realistic target for SiCepat Logistik, anticipating it will contribute approximately 5% to 10% of the total company revenue within its inaugural year of operation. This financial projection reflects a robust strategic intent to diversify market penetration and strengthen SiCepat’s overall business portfolio. Imam Sedayu, SiCepat’s Commercial and External Affairs Director, articulated this vision during the launch event held in East Jakarta on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. He emphasized that this expansion into comprehensive logistics services is a cornerstone of the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Imam Sedayu highlighted the immense potential within the Indonesian logistics market, underscoring that the existing courier, express, and parcel (CEP) business, where SiCepat has historically excelled, only accounts for a mere 10% of the total market landscape. This statistic reveals a vast, largely untapped opportunity for integrated supply chain solutions. Projections indicate that the total Indonesian logistics market could surge to nearly US$178 billion, or approximately Rp3,000 trillion, by 2030. Such a staggering figure underscores the strategic imperative for companies like SiCepat to broaden their service offerings.

A striking 90% of all logistics activities in Indonesia currently lie outside the scope of traditional courier, express, and parcel services. This substantial segment represents a critical area for growth and innovation, prompting SiCepat to strategically pivot and expand its capabilities. By introducing SiCepat Logistik, the company is directly addressing the demands of this larger market, offering more comprehensive solutions that cater to complex business needs rather than solely focusing on individual package deliveries. This expansion is a calculated move to capitalize on the burgeoning demand for sophisticated logistics.

The initial year of SiCepat Logistik‘s development will be dedicated to meticulously building a strong business foundation and, crucially, fostering unwavering customer trust. Imam Sedayu stressed the importance of these foundational elements, recognizing that long-term success in the competitive logistics industry hinges on reliability and client confidence. He expressed optimism that by establishing credibility in its first year, SiCepat Logistik can achieve exponential growth in subsequent years, potentially doubling its contributions and market footprint. This patient, strategic approach is designed to ensure sustainable expansion.

SiCepat’s strategic shift into broader logistics services is primarily driven by the need to diversify its market base. Traditionally, the company has predominantly served online sellers and various marketplace platforms, excelling in the e-commerce fulfillment segment. However, the introduction of SiCepat Logistik allows the company to target a significantly wider array of clients. This includes large-scale operations such as factories, manufacturers, established brands, national distributors, and diverse retailers, moving firmly into the B2B logistics arena.

Beyond these conventional segments, SiCepat is also exploring opportunities in more specialized sectors, including mining and energy. This proactive diversification strategy aims to leverage SiCepat’s existing operational strengths and adapt them to meet the unique and often demanding requirements of these industrial clients. By expanding its service portfolio, SiCepat Logistik positions itself as a versatile provider of integrated logistics solutions, capable of handling complex supply chains across various industries.

A key competitive advantage for SiCepat in entering this expanded logistics market is its robust existing network and infrastructure, meticulously built through years of operating its express delivery business. This foundational asset includes an impressive count of 470 hubs and 61 state-of-the-art sortation stations strategically located across the archipelago. This extensive physical presence ensures broad coverage and efficient processing capabilities, which are critical for effective first-mile delivery and middle-mile delivery operations.

The company’s operational reach extends to over 35 provinces, supported by a formidable fleet of approximately 1,700 vehicles, comprising both trucks and vans. This substantial transportation network is essential for executing timely and reliable logistics services, particularly for larger freight and bulk shipments that are characteristic of B2B operations. Furthermore, SiCepat boasts 61 operational warehouses, 45,000 drop points catering to the retail segment, and more than 490 processing locations, ensuring comprehensive coverage and logistical flexibility.

SiCepat’s operational footprint already covers an impressive 99% of Indonesia’s geographical area, demonstrating its widespread capability. In terms of volume, the company currently handles approximately 250,000 tons of goods annually and processes around 1 million packages daily. This immense operational scale, coupled with a vast ecosystem of approximately 6 million registered sellers and partners, provides a powerful springboard for the new SiCepat Logistik division. These established resources significantly reduce the entry barriers and accelerate the potential for rapid market penetration in the broader logistics sector.

Imam Sedayu reiterated that this extensive network and proven operational capacity are precisely why SiCepat identified a compelling opportunity to expand its business. The vision extends beyond simply express and last-mile delivery, evolving towards a more integrated and holistic suite of logistics services. The company recognizes that the modern supply chain demands more than just parcel delivery; it requires end-to-end solutions that encompass warehousing, distribution, and specialized freight management. This strategic evolution is a response to the dynamic needs of businesses across Indonesia.

Indeed, the strategic imperative is clear: the logistics sector must be developed comprehensively, extending far beyond the confines of basic express services and individual last-mile delivery. By launching SiCepat Logistik, the company is making a definitive statement about its long-term commitment to becoming a full-spectrum provider of supply chain solutions, ready to support the diverse and complex needs of Indonesia’s burgeoning economy. This expansion is not merely about adding a new service but about transforming SiCepat into a more robust and versatile logistics powerhouse.
