Central Kalimantan Government and Bank Indonesia Boost Inclusive Economy Through Pesona Tambun Bungai 2026

PALANGKA RAYA, PROKALTENG.CO – The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, in partnership with Bank Indonesia (BI), hosted the Pesona Tambun Bungai 2026 Media Talk at the Executive Lounge of the BI Central Kalimantan Representative Office on Thursday (May 21, 2026). The event served as a strategic platform to discuss the region’s economic roadmap, with officials emphasizing the vital role of synergy in driving sustainable growth.

Representing the Acting Provincial Secretary, Linae Victoria Aden, the Head of Public Communication Management at the Central Kalimantan Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics Agency, Edi Juardi, highlighted that this year’s theme—“Synergy and Collaboration in Realizing Inclusive Regional Economic Growth”—is perfectly aligned with national and regional development policies.

According to Edi, fostering an inclusive and competitive economy requires seamless cooperation among all stakeholders. “Strong economic growth must be felt macroscopically and equitably across all layers of society. Achieving this requires the collective effort of the government, media, the public, and business players,” Edi stated. He further emphasized that the provincial government remains committed to bolstering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through digitalization, expanded market access, and targeted promotional strategies to enhance their competitiveness on both national and international stages.

Edi also underscored the crucial role of the media in regional development. He noted that beyond merely reporting news, the media acts as a catalyst for public optimism and trust. “Public communication and the media are strategic partners in disseminating development information, promoting local potential, and educating the public on digital innovation. By actively showcasing Central Kalimantan’s local products, the media serves as a primary engine for getting our local commodities recognized globally,” he added.

The Head of the Bank Indonesia Central Kalimantan Representative Office, Yuliansah Andrias, echoed these sentiments, noting that Pesona Tambun Bungai has evolved into a vital annual agenda since its inception in 2022. Now in its fourth year, the event aims to bridge the gap between MSMEs and the wider community.

“Pesona Tambun Bungai is designed to strengthen the regional economic ecosystem through product promotion and market expansion,” Yuliansah explained. The 2026 edition is scheduled to take place from May 29 to May 31, 2026, at the Atrium of Duta Mall, Palangka Raya. The event will focus on three key pillars: Exhibition, Education, and Empowerment.

Beyond showcasing local products, the upcoming event will feature a comprehensive program, including financial literacy workshops, digital payment education, a barista competition, a basketball invitational, and a dedicated showcase for traditional fabrics and creative local products. Through these initiatives, the provincial government and Bank Indonesia hope to leverage a pentahelix collaboration model—bringing together the government, business sector, academia, media, and community—to ensure that Central Kalimantan’s economy remains forward-thinking, resilient, and highly competitive.
