Rancak Media – JAKARTA — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has officially designated shares of PT BSA Logistics Indonesia Tbk. (WBSA) as having a High Shareholding Concentration (HSC). This move highlights the company’s current ownership structure following its market debut.
In a formal announcement signed by IDX Director Kristian Manullang and KSEI Director Eqy Essiqy on Friday (May 8, 2026), the authorities clarified that the HSC status is not an indication of any regulatory violations or misconduct within the capital market. The designation is intended strictly as a transparency measure for the public.

Kristian and Eqy explained that the HSC methodology, based on the shareholding structure as of May 7, 2026, revealed that a small group of shareholders collectively holds 95.82% of the company’s total issued shares. It is worth noting that WBSA holds the distinction of being the first company to list on the IDX in 2026.

BSA Logistics officially went public on April 10, 2026, through an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The HSC mechanism was recently introduced by the IDX and the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) to increase market transparency. By adopting best practices similar to those used by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the IDX aims to provide investors with clear information when an issuer’s ownership is concentrated among a few parties.
Jeffrey Hendrik, Acting President Director of the IDX, stated during a press briefing in Jakarta on April 2, 2026, that this policy is designed to empower investors to make better-informed decisions. He emphasized that the HSC designation does not impact normal trading activities or liquidity.
The implementation process begins when a stock meets specific HSC criteria. A dedicated committee from the IDX and KSEI then conducts a thorough review before a public announcement is issued. Once an announcement is made, investors can access these details through official IDX channels.
Following the disclosure, issuers have the option to conduct voluntary assessments or participate in periodic reviews by the IDX and KSEI. If a subsequent assessment shows that share ownership has become more widely distributed, the authorities will release a follow-up announcement lifting the HSC status.
“If the high concentration is resolved according to our latest assessment, the IDX and KSEI will issue a closing announcement to confirm the status has been removed,” Jeffrey concluded.

Summary
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has officially designated PT BSA Logistics Indonesia Tbk. (WBSA) as having a High Shareholding Concentration (HSC). This status was applied after an assessment revealed that a small group of shareholders collectively controls 95.82% of the company’s total issued shares. The designation serves as a transparency measure for investors and does not imply any regulatory violations or misconduct by the issuer.
Introduced to align with international best practices, the HSC mechanism provides public visibility into ownership structures without restricting normal trading activities. WBSA, which debuted on the IDX in April 2026, can seek to have this status lifted if future assessments confirm a more diverse distribution of shares. The IDX and KSEI will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to ensure investors remain well-informed.
