Fireworks Not Allowed During New Year Celebrations In Bali 2021The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Bali has legally banned the celebration of the 2021 New Year. This is stated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Governor of Bali Number 2021 of 2020 concerning Implementation of Citizen Activities During the Christmas Holidays and Welcoming the 2021 New Year in the New Era of Life in the Province of Bali.

"It is not permissible to hold New Year celebrations and the like indoors and/or outdoors," as stated in the SE given by the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Tuesday (15/12/2020).

So the SE prohibits the use of firecrackers, fireworks and the like, and drunkenness.

Regarding this matter, this provision applies to every person, business actor, administrator, executor, or person in charge of public places and facilities who carry out routines during the 2020 Christmas and New Year holidays.

Meanwhile, for activities except those that are not allowed, residents must comply with health procedures, namely the following:

  1. Use masks properly.
  2. Clean your hands with soap in running water, or maybe with a hand sanitizer.
  3. Limit physical contact and keep your distance.
  4. Don't get veiled.
  5. Limit your routine in public/crowded places.

"To the Regents/Mayors, Camats, Hamlet/Lurah Heads, Bali Traditional Village Headquarters, and related factions to coordinate, communicate, and socialize this SE to be carried out in an orderly, disciplined, and responsible manner," as stated in the SE.
