JAKARTA – The Bisnis-27 Index opened on a positive note during Tuesday’s trading session (June 2, 2026), bolstered by significant gains in key stocks such as AMRT, MEDC, and TAPG.
Data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) indicates that the index, a collaborative effort between the IDX and Bisnis Indonesia, climbed 0.36% to reach the 426.12 level. Among its 27 constituents, 14 stocks showed positive movement, while 11 declined and 2 remained unchanged.
Leading the rally was PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk. (AMRT), which surged 6.96% to Rp1,230. Other notable performers included PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. (MEDC), rising 2.49% to Rp1,235; PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk. (TAPG), gaining 2.30% to Rp1,555; and PT Darma Henwa Tbk. (DEWA), which ticked up 1.80% to Rp340.
Investor sentiment was also buoyed by gains among major banking stocks. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) rose 2.03% to Rp3,010, followed by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) at 1.75% to Rp5,800. Additionally, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) increased 1.35% to Rp3,750, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) climbed 1.23% to Rp4,130.
Conversely, some stocks faced downward pressure during the morning session. PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR) led the decliners, falling 2.84% to Rp22,275. Other shares trending in the red included PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. (ICBP), down 2.82% to Rp6,900; PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk. (CPIN), down 2.58% to Rp4,160; and PT AKR Corporindo Tbk. (AKRA), which slipped 2.02% to Rp1,210.
The bearish trend also impacted several major blue-chip stocks: PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) dipped 1.98% to Rp2,970, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. (JPFA) fell 1.63% to Rp2,410, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk. (INKP) dropped 1.63% to Rp7,550, and PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII) declined 1.60% to Rp4,920.
Prior to this session, analysts projected that the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) would move sideways, fluctuating within the 6,000 to 6,300 range for the day.
The research team at MNC Sekuritas noted that the minor correction observed in the IHSG at the end of the previous week was accompanied by a rise in buying volume. Throughout last week, the index saw a decline of 0.56% alongside a gradual decrease in selling volume. From a technical perspective, the current movement is estimated to be part of wave v, within wave A of wave (2).
“The next correction phase is expected to test the 5,899 level, which will serve as a key support area,” stated the MNC Sekuritas report. For today’s trading, the composite index is anticipated to encounter support at 5,996 and 5,899, while resistance levels are identified at 6,318 and 6,459.
