Rancak Media — Antam gold prices saw a slight decline on Saturday (May 23), with the price per gram dropping by IDR 15,000 to settle at IDR 2,773,000. This follows Friday’s (May 22) trading price of IDR 2,788,000 per gram.
According to the official Logam Mulia website, the entry-level 0.5-gram gold bar is now priced at IDR 1,436,500, while the 5-gram bar is listed at IDR 13,680,000. Larger denominations have seen corresponding adjustments as well; for instance, a 10-gram bar is now valued at IDR 27,280,000, and a 25-gram bar is retailing for IDR 68,035,000.
For investors looking at more substantial holdings, the 50-gram bar is priced at IDR 135,905,000, while the 100-gram option costs IDR 271,660,000. For the largest investment category, the 1,000-gram bar is currently priced at IDR 2,713,600,000.
In tandem with the retail price drop, the buyback price—the rate at which Antam repurchases gold—has also decreased by IDR 15,000, bringing it to IDR 2,577,000 per gram, down from the previous day’s rate of IDR 2,592,000.
Despite the current price fluctuation, long-term investors are seeing significant gains. Those who purchased Antam gold around November 2022 are reaping substantial profits if they choose to sell now. For context, the price of gold on November 26, 2022, was approximately IDR 936,000 per gram. An investment of 5 grams made at that time would have cost IDR 4,680,000. At today’s buyback rate, that same investment would yield IDR 12,885,000, resulting in a total profit of IDR 8,205,000 (excluding applicable taxes).
