Persiku Kudus Offers Shares to Investors Amid Potential Relocation to Cibinong

Rancak Media KUDUS – PT Relasi Sport Muria Indonesia (RESMI), the entity overseeing the operations of Indonesian football club Persiku Kudus, has announced plans for a significant divestment of its shares. This strategic move is intended to fortify Persiku Kudus’ position and ensure its continued development as a more competitive team in the future.

“This news might come as a surprise to the public, but we will be releasing several shares to companies interested in acquiring a stake in Persiku,” revealed Abdul Fuad Amirul Adha, President Director of PT Relasi Sport Muria Indonesia, in a statement to Tribunjateng.com on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The primary driver behind this decision stems from the management’s assessment of Persiku Kudus’ performance during the Pegadaian Championship 2025/2026 season, which was deemed less than satisfactory. Despite successfully avoiding relegation, Fuad admitted that the club’s initial target was to secure a top-three or top-five finish in the league standings.

“That target was unfortunately missed. We acknowledge that we are currently not fully equipped to manage the team comprehensively, which is why we intend to sell a substantial portion of our shares to experienced parties,” Fuad elaborated. He added that the exact percentage of shares to be divested would be determined at a future General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS).

In anticipation of this change, management has already engaged with a number of potential investors. Fuad indicated that the interested parties are likely national-scale investors, though he refrained from disclosing any names at this stage. “We cannot announce anything until there is an official signing. We anticipate everything will be finalized within the next two months,” Fuad confirmed, noting that preparations for the share release are currently underway.

Interestingly, some prominent figures already hold shares in Persiku Kudus, including the well-known Yogyakarta-based preacher, Gus Miftah. Fuad clarified that while Gus Miftah is indeed a shareholder, his stake is not a majority one. The impending change in ownership will also have a significant bearing on Persiku Kudus’ home ground, especially since its current stadium, Wergu Wetan Kudus, is slated for demolition and rebuilding.

Several options are being considered for Persiku Kudus’ home base next season, spanning both Central Java and West Java. “In Central Java, there’s the option of Moch Soebroto Stadium in Magelang, which Persijap previously utilized during Liga 2,” Fuad stated. For West Java, potential alternatives include stadiums like Pakansari Cibinong. However, the ultimate decision on the new home ground will be made in consultation with the new shareholders once the deal is finalized, according to Fuad.

Furthermore, Fuad expressed his openness to a potential management reshuffle should the new shareholders desire it, acknowledging their inherent authority to direct and manage the team. “Our core objective is to find the best solution for the team, ensuring it remains stable and avoids collapse. We are dedicated to securing the necessary funds to maintain the team’s financial health,” Fuad concluded, underscoring the strategic importance of this divestment for Persiku Kudus’ long-term viability.
