Rancak Media – The Ministry of Finance under the administration of President Prabowo Subianto has opted for a shift in communication, delivering its inaugural State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) realization report for March 2026 via a formal press release rather than the customary live event.
Traditionally, these financial updates are presented during a live press conference held at the Djuanda I Building, Mezzanine Floor, at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Jakarta. However, this month marked a departure from that standard procedure.
“The APBN KiTa performance report as of March 31, 2026, is now available in a press release format and as a presentation deck on the Ministry of Finance website,” stated the Bureau of Communication and Information Services (KLI) to the media on Thursday (April 30) evening.

In the released documentation, the Ministry emphasized that the APBN KiTa performance remained resilient throughout the first quarter of 2026, despite a challenging and dynamic global geopolitical landscape. The report highlighted that, throughout March 2026, state revenues showed growth and government spending remained expansive, while both the budget deficit and financing were successfully kept under control.
Furthermore, the Ministry asserted that the APBN continues to serve as a vital pillar for national economic stability, providing necessary support to the public and ensuring that core development agendas proceed consistently.
The transition to a written report followed the abrupt cancellation of a scheduled press conference, which had been slated for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM WIB. On the morning of the event, the KLI Bureau issued an apology to members of the media, confirming that the session would no longer take place.
“The APBN KiTa Press Conference scheduled for April 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM WIB is canceled. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience,” the KLI Bureau stated.
Despite the change in format, the Ministry of Finance has remained tight-lipped regarding the specific reasons behind the cancellation of the live briefing. When pressed by journalists for further details, the KLI Bureau declined to provide any additional explanation or clarification.
