
Rancak Media – , JAKARTA — Bank Indonesia (BI) has reported a renewed influx of foreign capital into Indonesia’s financial markets, totaling IDR 2.29 trillion during the third week of November 2025.
Transaction data for the period spanning November 17 to November 20, 2025, indicates that non-resident, or foreign, investors recorded a net buy of IDR 2.29 trillion. This figure comprises a net buy of IDR 3.93 trillion in the stock market and IDR 2.66 trillion in the government bond (SBN) market.
However, consistent with previous weeks, foreign investors, or non-residents, also conducted a net sell of IDR 4.3 trillion in Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) within the same period.

Despite the recent weekly inflow, year-to-date settlement data up to November 20, 2025, reveals a broader trend: foreign investors have recorded substantial net sells. These include IDR 31.17 trillion in the stock market, IDR 6.52 trillion in the SBN market, and a significant IDR 143.83 trillion in SRBI throughout 2025.
“Bank Indonesia continues to strengthen coordination with the Government and relevant authorities while optimizing its policy mix strategy to bolster Indonesia’s external economic resilience,” stated Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Head of BI’s Communication Department, in a press release quoted on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, the five-year Credit Default Swap (CDS) premium, a key indicator of investor perception regarding default risk, increased to 75.27 basis points (bps) as of November 20. This marks an uptick from 73.90 bps recorded in the preceding week, November 14.
Regarding the rupiah exchange rate, Indonesia’s national currency closed at a bid level of IDR 16,725 per US dollar on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The rupiah’s movement subsequently remained stable, opening on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the same bid level of IDR 16,725 per US dollar.

Concurrently, the yield on 10-year SBNs saw an increase to 6.15% on Thursday, November 20, 2025, before slightly declining to 6.13% on Friday, November 21, 2025.
