Fireworks are not permitted during New Year celebrations in Bali in 2021 - The Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov) legally prohibits New Year celebrations in 2021. This is stated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Governor of Bali Number 2021 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Citizen Activities During the Christmas Holidays and Welcoming New Year 2021 in the New Era of Life in Bali Province.

"You are not permitted to hold New Year's celebration parties and the like indoors and/or outdoors," as stated in the SE issued by the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Tuesday (15/12/2020).

Furthermore, the SE prohibits the use of firecrackers, fireworks and the like, and drinking alcohol.

Regarding this, this provision applies to every person, business actor, administrator, executor, or person in charge of public places and facilities who carries out routines throughout the Christmas and New Year 2020 holidays.

Meanwhile, for activities other than those that are not permitted, residents must comply with health procedures, namely as follows:

  1. Use the mask correctly.
  2. Clean your hands with soap in running water, or perhaps with hand sanitizer.
  3. Limit physical contact and continue to maintain distance.
  4. Don't crowd.
  5. Limit routines in public/crowded places.

"To the Regent/Mayor, Subdistrict Head, Head of Hamlet/Lurah, Traditional Village Headquarters throughout Bali, and related factions to coordinate, communicate and socialize this SE so that it is carried out in an orderly, disciplined and responsible manner," as stated in the SE.
