Approval for the merger has been announced in the Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information (Kepmen) (Kepmen).

"I, as Minister of Communications and Information Technology, have given approval for the merger and acquisition of Indosat and Tri through Ministerial Decree Number 7 of 2022 concerning Approval of the Merger of Telecommunication Operations of PT Indosat Tbk and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia," said Minister Johnny in a virtual press conference, Tuesday (4 /1).

According to him, the rights and obligations of PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia in relation to cellular telephone service obligations have been transferred to Indosat based on this Decree.

Among other things, and not limited to the following: Rights to use telecommunications numbers, Obligations to operate networks and services, Obligations for continuity of service to customers, Cooperation with telecommunications operators, Obligations to pay PNBP for telecommunications and spectrum costs, and USO service contributions.
