Gong Oh-Kyun Resigns as Assistant Coach for the Indonesian National Team – PSSI technical director Indra Sjafri, confirmed Gong Oh-kyun, will no longer be part of the Indonesian national team coaching team. The man from South Korea decided to resign.

However, Indra, not knowing Oh-kyun's trigger, chose to let go of the position he was holding. In fact, he is the right hand of the manager of the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong.

"It's true, he [Gong Oh-kyun] has not been coaching while the Indonesian U-19 national team has been focusing on training in Jakarta," said Indra when contacted by mass media.

“For the facts, try asking coach Tae-yong. "Because we have not legally accepted Gong Oh-kyun's resignation," Indra added.

The former Bali United schemer confirmed that Oh-kyun was not stepping down because of orders from PSSI. Indra admitted that he did not recognize who was in the post left by the 46 year old figure.

“Gong Oh-kyun is coach Shin Tae-yong's staff. It is impossible for PSSI to stop the coaching staff. The one who decides that will be the head coach. "Just ask Tae-yong, who could be his replacement,"

Oh-kyun's resignation means that now there are only 3 trusted people from the South Korean coach in the Indonesian national team. They are Kim Hae-woon, Lee Jae-hon, and Kim Woo-jae.

The three of them have helped focus the training (TC) of the Indonesian U-3 national team in Jakarta, since the beginning of this December. They were joined by several local believers, namely Nova Arianto, Alex Aldha Yudi, and Sahari Gultom.

After Jakarta, the Indonesian U-19 national team will continue the TC in Spain. It is planned that Shin Tae-yong's fleet will depart for Matador Country, tomorrow (26/12).

Around 30 players were brought to take part in TC in Spain. 27 names will leave Jakarta, while Elkan Baggot, Kelana Noah Mahesa, and Witan Sulaeman will follow because they are defending their respective teams abroad.

Salou, is the city in Spain, which was decided to hold the TC. Later, the Indonesian U-19 national team will not only practice, but will hold several experimental matches.

However, we don't yet know who the experimental enemy the Indonesian U-19 national team will encounter when they are in Spain. PSSI is still communicating with several teams in that country.
