"Regarding long-distance train travel from Daop 1 Jakarta, we can provide it if so far KAI still refers to SE 14 of the Ministry of Transportation on 8 June 2020 and SE 9 of the COVID-19 Task Force on 26 June 2020," said Eva. Thursday (17/12/2020).
The letter given must be valid (14 days since circulation). However, residents who live in areas that do not have PCR or Rapid Antibody test facilities can submit an Information Letter Free of Symptoms (such as influenza) from the hospital/Puskesmas.
Apart from the requirements for boarding the latest long-distance trains above, PT KAI passengers must also follow health procedures, such as wearing masks, face shields, body temperatures below 37.3 degrees Celsius, to cleaning hands using water or hand sanitizer.
PT KAI is currently implementing the 70% capacity of all seats. This is done so that some passengers still keep their distance and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Several PT KAI frontliners who are closely related to passengers will have their body temperature checked every 3 hours. They will wear PPE, such as masks, gloves and face shields.
At that time, the government was anticipating the spread of COVID-19 during the Christmas and New Year holidays by reducing the number of joint holidays. Initially, joint leave was on December 28-29 but was removed so that holidays were only on December 24-25 and 31.
