Revised Joint Leave December 2020 Based on Presidential Decree 23/2020 – December 2020 collective leave was corrected by President Joko Widodo. Holidays and collective leave in December 2020 were reduced due to taking into account safeguarding and overcoming the high spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia.

The results of the correction for the December 2020 joint leave were signed by President Joko Widodo on December 8 2020 in the form of Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 23 of 2020 concerning the Overhaul of Presidential Decree Number 17 of 2020 concerning Joint Leave for State Civil Service Employees in 2020.

"Technically there is a reduction in holidays and collective leave by around 3 days, namely the 28th, 29th and 30th (December). "The 28th, 29th, 30th (December) are not holidays but still go to work as usual," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy in his press information, in Jakarta, Tuesday (1/12/2020).

Initially, based on the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (MenpanRB) Number 440/2020, 03/2020, 03/2020 dated 28-30 December, it was decided as an alternative holiday together for Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr 1441 Hijriah.

Muhadjir said, Christmas and New Year holidays are still available, plus 1 alternative day of leave for Idul Fitri. Christmas holidays run from December 24-27.

"The 24th (December) is the Christmas holiday (collective leave), then the 25th is Christmas, then the 26th is automatic (holiday) because it is Saturday and the 27th is Sunday," he said.

Meanwhile, December 31 is collective leave as an alternative to collective leave for Idul Fitri 1441 Hijriah.

“The 1st (January) is automatically a holiday because it is January 1st. "Furthermore, the 2nd (January) is Saturday (and) January 3 is Sunday until it's automatically a holiday," said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

Furthermore, Muhadjir said that the agreement to reduce holidays and collective leave was stated in the SKB of three ministers, namely the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, the Minister of Manpower and the Minister of Religion.

"Menpan RB because it will be related to the issue of ASN (State Civil Apparatus) leave and holidays, then the Minister of Manpower is related to leave and holidays for employees and private employees, then the Minister of Religion because this is related to religious holidays," he explained.

This decision, he explained, would take effect after being signed by the three ministers. The results of corrections for collective leave in December 3 are as follows:

  1.  December 24 2O2O (Thursday) is a holiday for Christmas.
  2. December 31 2O2O (Thursday) as an alternative leave for Idul Fitri l44l Hijriah.
