McLaren Claims The Saber Is The Strongest Supercar They Have Ever Made – McLaren has just released its newest mode, the McLaren Saber which is made special and only 15 units.
Quoted by Autocar, the McLareb Saber was made by the McLaren Special Operations section. The supercar is claimed to be capable of reaching speeds of 218mph, making it the fastest two-seater mode McLaren has ever made.
McLaren's iconic 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine is believed to be capable of producing up to 824 bhp.
Compared to the McLaren Senna, the Saber is 35 bhp stronger with a torque rating of 590 lb ft. The McLaren Saber has extensive body modifications which are possible by homologation requirements.
The Saber aero package is said to reach "new frontiers" through the LMP1-look fin that sits in the center of the roof, supported by a giant rear diffuser and a unique three-slat wing. The first model samples of the Saber have shipped at an undisclosed price, expected to reach the seven-figure US dollar mark.
While another 14 examples will come to 14 other loyal customers in the next few weeks.
