Iwan Bule asks the Indonesian national team to remain focused even though the U-20 World Cup is cancelled – FIFA has confirmed that the 20 U-2021 World Cup will be cancelled. In response to this, PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan asked the Indonesian National Team, especially the U-16s, to always concentrate on preparing themselves.

Iriawan does not want news that the 20 U-2021 World Cup, which was initially expected to be held in Indonesia, to be canceled will cause the Indonesian national team to reduce its training and reduce the concentration level of several players.

Iriawan asked all parties to continue to concentrate, especially for several players who have the opportunity to play in the next edition of the U-20 World Cup which will be held in 2023. According to him, the target of the Indonesian national team is still the same, namely the U-20 World Cup.

It is mentioned the same because Indonesia is still believed to be the host of the junior level football competition. FIFA doesn't seem to have the heart to waste the golden opportunity that Indonesia has received to host the U-20 World Cup which should be held in 2021.

FIFA has decided to cancel the U-20 World Cup competition next year because the Corona virus outbreak has not yet ended and is likely to continue. To prevent an increasingly chronic condition, suspension must be implemented.

However, FIFA promised that Indonesia would be trusted to host the event again. Due to this fact, Iriawan immediately asked several of his players not to give up easily and not to reduce training sessions.

Iriawan tries to take the positive aspect of the cancellation of the U-20 World Cup in 2021 as the extra time given by FIFA to further deepen the Indonesian national team that will compete in the 2023 edition.

Interestingly, the current Indonesian U-19 national team will definitely not play in the 20 U-2023 World Cup. Because most of the players are likely to be over 20 years old and will not be able to participate again.

So, it seems that PSSI will focus on improving the performance of the Indonesian U-16 national team which will automatically play in the Indonesian U-19 national team in the next 3 years. He believes that Indonesia's chance of achieving the best results is still as great as what happened this season.

"Following the postponement of the U-20 World Cup in 2021, the Portugal national team, which we will prepare later, can take advantage of the additional time and continue the program to prepare for the U-20 World Cup in 2023. I hope that the preparations can be more complete, thorough and "In the future we will become champions," said Iriawan.
