Yamaha motorbike has lots of problems, finally Valentino Rossi opens his voice – In the 2021 MotoGP season, Italian star Valentino Rossi will enter his 26th season at Grand Prix. This is his 16th year with Yamaha, although his first was with the Satellite team, Petronas Yamaha SRT.

“Next year could be a tough challenge. "We have to be ready to start the first race," said Rossi in information contained in Speedweek.

Rossi, who currently remains the oldest rider on the MotoGP track, has big ideas for preparing the 2021 season.

“I have to work hard on myself. We have to improve in some areas, for example qualification, which is important at the moment.

"As usual, we will move the Yamaha and try to do a good job in the winter (pre-season testing) so that we can improve in certain factors," added Rossi enthusiastically.

“In these years – this year (2020) – we were strong only at the start of the season. But then we suffered from our opponents in the second half of the season, because they (the competitors) managed to do all sorts of new things.

It's not easy with Yamaha at the end of the season.” explained Rossi.

As a special problem for Yamaha in recent years this has been clear, starting from top speed and the lack of grip on the rear wheel.

Apart from Rossi, who performed badly in 2020, his former teammate, Maverick Vinales, appeared to be really struggling, often blaming the motorbike and explaining that Yamaha's mistakes had started since 2017.

So what is Rossi's opinion about this?

“We really had difficulty with the grip on the rear wheel. If we can't get the rear tire to work properly, it will be difficult to ride our bike – and it will be difficult for us to compete.

That is the most important point – except what you need to work on for top-speed – not only on the engine, on the aerodynamics, etc. So yes, I agree," said The Doctor.

“2016 to 2017, those were important years for Yamaha and M1, because I think that was the beginning of our misery.

Until 2016, this motorbike was truly competitive, capable of winning races and world champion titles.

Since then we have experienced increasing difficulties. But actually, I don't understand how much it is up to Yamaha or other manufacturers.

In my opinion, other manufacturers have stepped up. "In order to compete, we must also improve ourselves, just like they (the enemy) are doing," Rossi hoped.
