Tjahjo said that the opening of the CPNS was based on the needs of the agency or local government. So don't take sides with your own needs in opening CPNS.

"For example, in 2021, hopefully recruitment will be carried out, so in principle according to the needs of the regional government, not the existing wishes so that it doesn't swell and looking at the dynamics of Covid-19, official work in the existing effective and efficient offices," Tjahjo said in a joint meeting with the DPR virtually, Monday (18/1/2021).

The Implementation Time for the Opening of CPNS Can Still Be Postponed

However, CPNS registration may be postponed or canceled if there are uncertain conditions. For this reason, the government continues to pay close attention to the opening of CPNS.

"We do a performance evaluation. It's like seeing government agencies delaying the procurement of CPNS if there are certain conditions, such as in 2020 due to Covid-19," he explained.

Reportedly Required CPNS Formation

There are several CPNS formations that are needed. Among other things, the formation of CPNS in the fields of health, education, and technical personnel that will be needed by government agencies next year. The government will only determine the CPNS formation after it is confirmed that the formation is really needed in an effort to support the achievement of development priorities.

CPNS 2021 vacancies are open due to the large number of retirees until 2024

Based on data from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), in the 2021-2024 period, around 706,438 civil servants will retire.

In 2021, there are 162,484 employees who will retire either because of the retirement age limit (BUO) or non-BUP. Then in 2022 and 2023 the number of retired employees will increase to 180,534 and 187,381 employees respectively.

Then in 2024, the number of employees who will retire will decrease from the previous year. This is because this year, the number of retired employees is only around 176,039 employees.

Meanwhile, in the 2019-2020 period there were 325,476 retired employees. The details are that there were 180,905 employees who retired in 2019, then there were around 144,571 employees who retired this year alias 2020.

If we dissect in detail, the number of employees who retired in 2019 was due to meeting the retirement age limit (BUP) and non-BUP. For employees who retired due to the age limit, there were around 154,816 employees and non-BUP employees as many as 26,089.

Meanwhile, in 2020, the number of retired employees is 124,896 employees. And employees who retired due to non-bup are as many as 19,675 employees.
