Rancakmedia.com – The PT Pertamina (Persero) cooperation program really helps unlock the power of Indonesian spices, so that Pertamina spice products become successful. This contribution is carried out through mentoring micro and small businesses (UMK) to produce high quality spices and products with export quality.

Guidance from the Pertamina cooperation program was found to have been applied to the business owner of Noni Spice House or what is called Rumah Rempah Noni Patrisia Lesmana. Patrisia explained that she had a special vision regarding the spice business she was in.

“I have a dream of being able to present processed Indonesian spices to the global arena. "Moreover, this dream will soon be realized," he said in recorded information rancakmedia.com, Friday (16 April 2021).

Patrisia expressed her dream regarding the spice business, namely making spice farmers rich. He added that this was the basis for working on Noni Spice House.

Pertamina's Spice Products are Successful

"When there was an order in Sukabumi, I talked a lot with spice farmers. "There is a desire to help these farmers sell their products and improve their quality," he said.

He explained that several spice products made by Noni Spice House had successfully penetrated the export market. These products include ginseng, moringa, cinnamon, cloves, and so on.

He explained that at least there are many countries that are export destinations for processed spices, such as Arabia, America, China and Canada.

Patrisia explained that all their farmers have been trained to international standards. This training covers the process of picking, washing, drying and transporting products to be processed at the production site on Jalan Gunung Sahari 16, Central Jakarta.

He explained that this effort was carried out so that the product could be widely accepted and of course export quality. Apart from utilizing farmers, continued Patrisia, this spice shop works with 10 people, most of whom are housewives, to help with the product packaging process.

Because of his dedication and persistence, Noni Spice House has succeeded in gaining a turnover of up to 1,44 billion rupees every year. He said this was one of the SDGs that implemented Direction 8, namely providing decent work and supporting economic development.

At that time, Eko Kristiawan, Pertamina West Java Regional Marketing Director for CSR communications, appreciated Patrisia's efforts. He explained that Pertamina would continue to help develop local products to make them more international, including using spices that are abundant in Indonesia.

"With the increase in MSMEs, it is hoped that it can have a multiplier effect, namely creating jobs and economic development," stressed Eko.

Eko explained that through this cooperation program, Pertamina wants to be able to provide economic driving energy. He said that energy must be used as fuel and produce lasting development.

"Pertamina will help Indonesian SMEs to become more independent through the intense support we provide so that SMEs can continue to advance in class," he said.

Apart from the SDGs implications, according to Eko, Pertamina is trying to implement ESG, especially in the social sector. ESG or Environmental, Social and Governance Control (ESG) as a way for companies to start their business that prioritizes long-term business continuity.

He views that with this Pertamina believes it can always bring economic benefits to residents in accordance with environmental and social responsibilities.
